The Director of Maintenance will oversee all aspects of maintenance services, serving as the lead resource and reporting to the VP of Operations and overall organization. Achieving defined objectives through planning, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining services of internal and external interest to the company. Leading, developing and managing maintenance staff. Aligning and coordinating with peers and the VP of Operations on business growth and operational efficiency.
Planning to include developing a maintenance program which includes preventative maintenance and vendor maintenance programs which achieve highest operational efficiency, sustain building and resource conservation efforts. Budgeting to include managing planned and unplanned spending on preventative and corrective activities within the agreed upon parameters while maintaining uninterrupted distribution operations & improving resource conservation and efficiency alongside operations counterparts.
Collaboration to include with internal and external maintenance personnel for the purposes of implementing and maintaining services and programs, corrective maintenance to MHE, automated equipment and all necessary building services. Utilizing the technical knowledge of the internal maintenance team and external vendors to build training programs, playbooks and audit programs designed to foster growth of team capabilities and updated techniques to maintain all required MHE and equipment.
Continuous & systematic improvement overall understanding of root cause analysis, total productive maintenance and/or lean or six sigma principles and how it relates to Operational efficiency, productivity and customer service
Development of team to include Leads, develops, manages, hires and trains all personnel in department to deliver results and support operations
Educational requirements include 4 year college or university, OSHA and safety training requirements, and any additional certifications to include Lean Six Sigma/TPM
Training and or experience to include 7-10 years in maintenance or manufacturing leadership role.
