  • Overview

    Allied Beverage Group, the leading distributor of Wine and Spirits in the State of New Jersey, is seeking to hire an Entry Level Administrative Assistant for the Credit Department in our new state of the art building in Elizabeth, NJ.  

    The Administrative Assistant will assist the Credit Manager and the Assistant Credit Manager in daily administrative duties. 




    Required Duties

    • Interact with Total Wine payable department and input checks into A/R; resolve any and all disputes
    • Clerical duties, filing, and memos
    • Answer phone and screen calls for Manager and Assistant Manager
    • Monitor, sort, and distribute mail for the Credit Department
    • Manually check any accounts changed to net from the previous day
    • Monitor Datamatics TC-1 and maintain records of vacation, sick, and switch days in the Credit Department
    • Notify salesmen at the direction of the manager regarding pending COD changes



    Must be able to:

    • Relieve switchboard operator
    • Transmit e-mail to CCC on a regular basis
    • Input data into “Credit Department Progress Report”
    • Keep Credit Manager’s appointment calendar
    • Distribute inter-office and intra-office correspondence to and from the Credit Department
    • Process Missing Bill List
    • Update A/R for missing bills and deliver information and follow-up to Customer Service

    Required Skills:

    • Clerical Experience

    • PC Literate; Knowledge of Word and Excel
